The General Manager of the Environment Public Authority, Sheikh Abdullah Ahmad Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, visited Al-Shuaiba Medical & Hazardous Wastes treatment and incineration Station to see the ongoing works progress and how the medical waste is being handled out from hospitals and quarries, and the station is being fully managed by the Kawoosh United Company (KUC) a subsidiary of Metals and Recycling Company (MRC).
(KUC) cooperates with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Public Authority of Industry (PAI) to run the operations of disposal and incineration of medical & hazardous waste in a safe manner and in accordance with the highest preventive medical standards in this regard. During the visit, the engineering staff of KUC confirmed and explained that all procedures are carried in the station is in accordance with scientific standards & environmental requirements and that the incinerators in the station currently receives medical waste from quarries and hospitals on a daily basis, and all the medical waste is being
